How hypnotherapy can help with depression

 

Clinical hypnotherapy works by gently guiding you into a deeply relaxed state, where your mind becomes more open to positive change.

In this state, we can begin to work with the underlying patterns that may be contributing to how you feel, such as:​

  • Negative self-talk and inner criticism

  • Loss of motivation or direction

  • Emotional overwhelm or numbness

  • Past experiences that may still be impacting you

  • Unhelpful thought loops or beliefs

  • Support you in reconnecting with a sense of calm, clarity, and control

How many sessions will I need?

 

Everyone’s experience with depression is different. Some clients begin to notice shifts within a few sessions, while others benefit from a longer, more supportive process. A structured program of sessions is often recommended to create lasting change.

Important note

 

Hypnotherapy can be a powerful support for depression, however it is not a replacement for medical or psychological care. If you are currently under the care of a GP, psychologist, or other healthcare provider, hypnotherapy can work alongside your existing support. If you are experiencing severe depression or thoughts of self-harm, it is important to seek immediate support from a qualified medical professional or a crisis service.
